Crypto mining apps banned on Google Play Store

Google has updated its app developer policy and it’s not a good news for crypto mining apps developer. The search giant has banned all such apps from the Play store, along with adults, violent, discriminating, and repetitive apps.

Apps that “appeal to children but contain adult themes” are no longer allowed. Apps that contain adult content of any sort are banned. Applications containing hatred against individuals or groups based on race or other characteristics are now explicitly banned too.

Mining apps like MinerGate, Crypto Miner or NeoNeonMiner won’t be available for download from now. We totally endorse this step from Google since crypto mining is a total false on smartphones. The process requires extensive hardware not found on phones. Such apps merely generate false data and thrive on serving ads in-between. If you come across such apps, it’s best to steer away since nothing can be earned from mining on mobile phones.

With the latest policy, developers can no longer submit apps with “highly similar content and user experience,” or “apps that are created by an automated tool, wizard service, or based on templates”. You can see the updated policy in the source link below.
