Casio has just launched a new variant of its PRO TREK smartwatch. The WSD-F20A gets an Indigo Blue paint job with a more cost-effective price. It will be made available in the US in May next month with a price tag of $399.

It was not disclosed if and when the device will be launched in other markets. However, since all other models are available internationally, we can expect the latest variant to follow suit.
The smartwatch is powered by Google’s latest Wear OS. It comes with GPS and full-color offline maps.
Casio PRO TREK WSD-F20A USP lies in the dual 1.32 inch 320×300-pixel dual layer displays. A color TFT LCD and monochrome LCD. The monochrome mode provides up to a month of battery life in ‘timekeeping’ mode. Whereas using the color display and GPS drastically reduces battery life and falls in line with other similarly powered Wear OS smartwatches.
Casio has entered into partnerships with nine major app companies to offer popular outdoors and sports apps. These apps are showcased in the “Featured Apps” list on the device for users to download. They include ViewRanger, Hole19, Fishbrain, and more.
Designed with indigo accents, a soft black urethane band and buckle, button guards, a protective bezel, and three large side buttons, the WSD-F20A sits at the ‘rugged’ end of the spectrum. It meets MIL-STD-810G standards, a US military standard, so should be able to take your outdoor lifestyle in its stride.
Following are the salient features of the new smartwatch:
- Water resistance up to 50 meters
- Military Standard 810G Durability
- Casio MOMENT SETTER+ App
- Digital Compass
- Activity Tracker
- Dual Layer LCD
